Friday morning starts out cloudy as a BNSF manifest heads towards Monolith with an SD60M and 4 SD40-2s in charge

As the clouds start to thin, another uphill manifest coasts down into Bena, the only notable let-up in the long climb between Bakersfield and Tehachapi's Summit Switch
At the head of Clear Creek, a freshly repainted Dash 8 winds its way between tunnels 3 and 5. Compare this shot to the wide shot, taken just out of frame in the far right distance
